TEETH WHITENING
Our Teeth Whitening is done by a trusted dental professional
Teeth whitening is becoming increasingly popular. Online kits or over the counter teeth whitening products do not take into account your dental history. Teeth are vital structures with nerve and blood supply like any other part of the body. Having the treatment done through a dental professional to prevent of any complications is the safest way to have your teeth whitened.
Studio Dental Salisbury has affordable tooth whitening options available. It is important that we see you first for an assessment of your teeth and discuss the procedures with you. Sometimes a simple scale and clean by our hygienist may be sufficient to give you the results you are seeking. You need to be aware of all your treatment options so can make an informed decision regarding any dental treatment you are about to have. We do not recommend that you let a hairdresser or beautician do any form of dental treatment for you.
Our whitening options are offered to you based on several factors which are assessed by the dental practitioner. We offer both in-chair Zoom whitening and take-home whitening. Call us on (08) 9080 5991 to discuss your options.
Boutique Home Whitening
Watch how the home whitening system works:
- Prep Your Teeth: Brush and floss before each whitening session to remove plaque and ensure the gel contacts clean enamel.
- Load the Trays: Gently squeeze a small amount of Boutique Whitening gel into each tooth compartment of the custom tray—usually a rice grain-sized dot per tooth.
- Insert and Wear: Place the trays over your teeth and press lightly to ensure a snug fit. Avoid squeezing out excess gel onto your gums.
- Wear for Recommended Time: Depending on your dentist’s instructions, wear the trays for either 1–2 hours during the day or overnight (for the “Night” formula). Stick to the schedule for consistent results.
- Clean Up After Use: Remove the trays, rinse your mouth with water, and gently brush your teeth. Clean the trays with cool water and store them in their case.
What About Sensitivity?
Teeth sensitivity is a common side-effect of teeth whitening. To minimise possible discomfort, we recommend that you follow our directions carefully, and use sensitivity-relieving gel or toothpaste after each bleach application. If your teeth continue to be sensitive, your dentist may choose to decrease the frequency of your whitening gel application. Our carefully chosen products are selected to reduce the sensitivity often attributed to teeth whitening. Please give us a call to discuss if interested.
